3 Ways to Wear.... Pink Pleated Skirt

June 25, 2019

I love fashion.

But I also want to be more eco-friendly and sustainable.

And as you probably know, fast fashion is a huge polluter.

So I'm trying to find ways to make sure that the way I dress doesn't damage the planet.

I'd love to be able to afford ethical brands or only purchase charity shop items but I don't have the bank balance or the clothing size that allows that. So I've been looking into ways of making clothes more efficient and usable. Restyling clothes is one of my favourite ways.

Classic Ladylike Luxe

I love this style of jumper.

Cropped Fitted Jumpers are super cute and definitely meet my 50's/Preppy/Taylor Swift-esque aesthetic.

The pearls really help set the tone of the outfit. I'd probably wear this with some cute ballet pumps or a low heel.

Normally for hair and makeup it'd be a simple blowdry or updo, with a neutral everyday make-up (light brown smokey eye with a nude/ pink lip).

Soft Romantic

This outfit focuses on the tactile nature of the fabrics. A Satin Cami top and  soft pink Cardigan. All in tones of pink.

It makes me feel super cute and comfy, and would be a great outfit for many scenarios; from a coffee date to a family christening.

I'd definitely style it with some pale pink dolly shoes and soft pink lipstick.

Masculine Tailoring

This outfit has a bit of a IDGAF element to it. Ignoring fashion norms of accentuating the waist, the Longline Sleeveless Blazer creates a boxier shape that runs straight into the pleated skirt.

I love the way the shirt adds the the straighter lines of the outfit, but still has feminine elements from the sheerness.

This is one of my favourite summer interview/office-wear outfits.
